I have filed many a claim with Geico, my insurance carrier. As a first party, I always had trouble getting compensation with aftermarket or non-oem parts damaged on my Z. I am only thinking about this because of your aftermarket rim damage. Geico wouldn't give me squat for aftermarket parts. Then when I fought it, they depreciated the parts and filed it as a SEPARATE CLAIM from my body damage, therefore it became much less than my deductable...again squirming their way out. On the other hand, this is a 3rd party claim for yourself, so perhaps you can get better treatment. Hopefully, you will not have any problems, but I would make sure that you have all the bases covered on the rim before Geico initiates the standard waffling techniques. Good Luck!
